g16 gas will not shut off

I have a 2001 G-16 gas golf cart and yesterday it would not shut off no matter what I did except for cutting the negative battery cable HELP!!!!

We'll start at the basics, check the gas pedal box (under pedal) and make sure it moves properly, nothing is stuck and the pin is still in place.

Done that, still no go,tested excelerator pedal shutoff switch and tested ok ! Do not know about engine shutoff relay! Is there a way to test ?

When you give the cart power, does it click before it goes? If not it is probably the solenoid.

I did not hear any clicking but the solenoid was bad,disconected the positive wire from it and it shut off
