  • Cart won't go. Club car 2017

2017 club car precedent. Ran fine but put in trailer to transport. 1 month later when I take it out the cart won't move. Brake off and had charger on for 3 hrs. Press pedal in Rev or fwd, cart starts to move but only if you gently push pedal, then it goes 6in then motor kicks off. Does same in fwd or Rev. Key off, put in tow mode, wait 30 sec. Cart free wheels fine. Shut tow switch back to run, wait 30 sec, turn cart on and same thing.

The symptoms—moving a bit when the pedal's gently pressed but then stalling out—could indicate a few potential culprits.

This intermittent response could hint at an electrical issue. It might be worthwhile to check the connections around the battery terminals, controller, and motor. Loose or corroded connections can cause these sorts of intermittent problems.

Another possibility could be related to the speed sensor or the throttle input. If there's a discrepancy or malfunction in these components, it might explain the hesitant movement.

Without getting hands-on or more detailed diagnostics, it's a bit like golfing blindfolded. Investigating these areas—electrical connections, speed sensor, and throttle input—could help uncover the root cause of this hiccup.
