Installing lights?

I am new to golf carts and wanted to install led head lights and red tail lights. My question is, how to run the 12 volt power to the switch I would then run to the lights. Is there a special way or just connect it to two batteries (6 volt batteries). 48 volt system? Thanks

Yes you can run both the positive and a negative from any 2 batteries That are electrically next to each other in series. As long as you're not going to use the lights all the time, If you are planning on using the lights often then a voltage reducer might be a better choice. This way all of your batteries will be drained equally.
