CC Serial Number Code

I'm puzzled!!! I was of the understanding that I have a 2004 CC Precedent, serial number PQ0554586806. However, when I checked the MCOR installed in my cart I noticed it had a OEM bar coded label date of 07/25/05. Either it was replaced once before or my cart is a 2005 model?
