  • 97 club car stopped!

My 97, 48 vt club car quit. batteries read 52.3 Vt., sel. clicks, motor sometimes jerks when throtle pushed, both F & Rev. 52 vt reading across sel. This happened once before and a few days later went away and all was fine. Any suggestions?
Is there a way to check the diod and resistor that are on the sel?
I use 4, 12 vt batteries, all new and charge using an external battery charger, hard wired to the batteries, not a club car charger. Can I eliminate the computer?
    thanks.

Well there are a number of things that could cause this
1 MCOR the resistor that tells the controller how fast to go ***
    2 Controller Bad
    3 Bad Motor
    4 F and R switch ****
5 Resistor and diode can be checked with ohm meter mark the ends and pull it off solenoid.
    A. Resistor should read between 270 and 470 ohms
    B. Diode should read very high resistance one direction and very low resistance in the other direction.
    6. Sure the OBC can be removed there is one wire going to the controller or to the solenoid that needs to be either (to solenoid grounded -48 or (to controller wired to +48.
