  • Older Club Car - Motor Gets Hot & Quits

We have an older Club Car - probably 80's model - electric. I'm sorry I don't have specifics. The batteries will charge and hold a charge, but the motor seems to get hot and then the cart just quits. If you wait a few minutes, it will run again. Any ideas on what may be going on?

Also, it will run for about 1-3 minutes and just somewhat quit, but if you keep pushing the pedal - it will start up again and then after about 5 minutes - just quits completely due to motor being hot. Again, any ideas? Thanks!

Check the brushed, and check around for dirty and loose connections to the motor and on the resistors and solenoids
