  • Don't be this guy.

I recently bought new batteries, I went from three 12v, to the traditional 6x6v batteries. I fabbed up some new hold down clamps and new cables. Everything went very well, so I connected the charger and after a few minutes, I noticed only three of the six batts were charging. And boy, were they ever charging, and bubbling like crazy. I started checking with my voltmeter and the three batts that were charging were well over 8vdc and the three that weren't were the usual 6.1-6.3 vdc.

Now, going by my description, do you know what I had done wrong??? BTW, I fixed the problem and hope I didn't screw up the three batteries.

The cart sat for a few weeks with no batteries in it.

you should be fine the old quick chargers or starter chargers in automotive shops put out 36 volts on a 12 volt battery, at least we know three of them are charged.

You will probably be fine, you know what to do with the other ones.
