hi brand new to site.
i have a 89 model gas club car that has the starter belt slipping. i was wondering how hard is it to change any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i have a 89 model gas club car that has the starter belt slipping. i was wondering how hard is it to change any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is about a 30 minute job, loosen the tensioner, remove the belt, put on the new belt and tighten. The belt should push down a bit less than a quarter of an inch.

Do i have to remove drive belt? If so does it have a tensioner also? I appreciate all the help.

You dont have to, it can slip through it since it is loose already. If you must remove this one, you need to wedge it off from the driven clutch side, there is no tensioner on it.
