How to replace the Rev limiter?

Hello, I’m new here. I’m searching for some help with my 2004 club car. I bought it used. I had the motor starter generator rebuilt twice. The wire connections keep disconnecting inside. The third time I replaced it with a new one. This one burned up completely! The battery terminal also melted! I called the previous owner and he said he adjusted the governor. But shouldn’t the rev limit kick in to protect the starter? Well, the rev limiter is missing. So now, I have a new battery, voltage regulator and a rev limiter. So my question, (finally) I don’t know which wires hook up to the rev limiter. I see two wires dangling under the motor, but I need to be sure. I can’t find any video or diagram that are detailed on the hook up. Thanks in advance!
