  • 92 clubcar no spark

Hello everyone. I am new to working on golf carts and new to this site. I just bought a 92 cart that has a very faint spark once in awhile and 1 bright blue spark once in long while. I have read many posts on here about this and have conducted some of the tests. (put cart into maintenance mode. Disconnected the RPM limiter. Disconnected the wire at the coil. Disconected the wire near the distick.) I am really thinking that it is the coil.
By putting the cart into mainenance mode does this eliminate the chance of the fwd/rev micro switches being bad?
Should the wire going to the coil have voltage or is it to ground out the coil when you release the gas pedal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

definately coil or igniter, ( little box on back of the rev limiter)

      Thanks pistol.

If I have disconnected the ignitor and still no spark then it has to be the coil I assume?

try the plug coming off the pulser coil. Mine was bad and had to wire it direct.
