Steering column

I've heard of shortening the steering column 4 in or so, anyone of you out there done this? It seems to me that it would be alot more comfortable to drive, my CC seems to set up farther than my old ezgo. This off season I was going to add the column cover and a new steering wheel, so I thought that would be a good time to tackle it.

pull it out and cut however much you want outta the middle & weld it back together, then take whatever you took off the shaft off the collom cover on the bottom.

CC actually used to make a shortened shaft, Ive installed one on a cart used by a big guy.
