  • Club Car 2001 wont run

My 2001 gas club car wont start. 12 V coming from battery, microswitch clicks & solenoid "clunks" like normal. Tried jumping the two big posts on solenoid & did nothing. Is my last option the generator starter? I did crack it once with my screwdriver & it did run for a day.(always worked on my old '70 Pontiac Catalina back in the day) Should I just replace the unit or replace brushes etc.?

Key switch, microswitch, FR switch and floor pedal switch or loose dirty connetion. I would charge the battery first, then try jumping the solenoid. Tug on the battery cables and the cables that go to the starter generator. Clean up all the posts. Make sure your battery posts are clean and tight. The last possible thing I would do is replace the starter, they are pretty well built and take a good beating before they die.
    Regards

If tapping on the starter helped, you need new brushes.
