Anyone have a rear end gear that slips in forward??
We have a club car that has no torque when in forward. It makes a loud grunting sound when pulling off from a dead stop

Did you ever replace the drive belt? It is probably so worn that it does not catch very good in forwards since it is most used in that.

We have changed both belts, driven clutch and drive clutch ..(over the past two or three years)
We think it was used to haul heavy loads and wore-out something in the rear end. It makes a slipping "grunt / groan" noise when you try and pull off from a standing start. If there is a hill or incline it wont move at all. Once you get going- it is fairly good, but on a steep hill you still hear it slipping

Hello. There isnt anything in the rear that can wear like that, its not like a car transmission where it has pressurized and lubricated clutches and solenoids. If its not the drive belt than it is one of the clutches either attached to the engine or attached to the rear. Maybe the plates are worn out? If it is so used you should also look into replacing the ramps in your driven clutch. Hope some of this info helps
