Need advice on yamaha g-1

Cart starts up but does not run at top speed. When I pull the choke it seems to run better. I know its not the carb because i just put a brand new one in it. Fuel pump clogged? Any advice will be appreciated.

Hey Yamg1a! The first thing you should check out is the air filter box. Make sure that it is sealed with all the rubber bands and the airfilter is installed in the correct way.
