G1 will start but won't rev up

My g1 will start but it won't rev up it will not engage the centrifugal clutch any body with any ideas please. Thank you

The reason it is not moving is because the engine is not actually running, it is just turning over under the starters power. Check for spark, compression and that you are getting fuel to the carburetor.

I just ran into the same problem today,.. when i was first working on this cart, the throttle cable was definitely connected,.. but it must have come loose and broken during my other repairs,.. just after i got everything ready to run,.. the cart wouldnt go,... i assessed the problems and realized that the engine wasnt getting gas and i couldnt figure out why,.. i messed with the throttle connection just above the carb, and the engine kicked over,.. i found the throttle connection just under the pedal was broken loose,.. i had to make a new throttle cable,.. got it connected and then the cart ran great!!
