Sounds like the common signs of a worn engine in need of a rebuild. Run a wet and dry compression test to check out the rings.

taylorP if you ever change the rings OR the seals, make sure you do them all at once. Usually if you do one thing it will throw off the other. Just a tip hope this helps.
