  • Smoking EZGO

I have a MPT 1200 4 cycle, 350cc cart that smokes heavily after 30 seconds of driving. Past events: beginning of August it did not smoke. Mid august it started smoking heavily, Oil was near bone dry. Gave it oil change, still smoking.
While giving it an oil change i found the Air filter was very nasty and there was oil in the tube connecting to the air filter. So i cleaned it, Still smokes.
Changed Spark plugs and added Seafoam to gas 2 days ago to clean out, Still Smokes.
This cart has alot of hours and has had no TLC. Could be many things... Any Ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

More than likely the pistons and rings are damaged and the cylinders are scored. Oil in the air filter means some serious blow by. Almost bone dry oil means serious neglect and has done some major damage to the motor. You will probably need to pull down the motor have a bore job and new pistons and rings at the least. If the crank and rods are damaged a new motor is in order.
