I need help my golf cart you have to hold the gas pedal for a few minutes before it will go if you let off gas you have to do it all over again it will stop and you have to hold the pedal for a few minutes the trottle is working fine seems like a short not sure please help.

What does it do immediately when you hold the pedal? Does it click and then turn over? Does it just click? Or does it do nothing at all for few minutes?

It is possible your battery does not have enough charge in it to turn it over, check the voltage on it or if it is over 4 years old it is time for a new one anyway.
