Have a 99 exgo, on level groud cart runs fine, but going uphill have to ease up on pedal or cart will basically stop. Ease up on pedal and cart will go slowly uphill. Are the batteries bad?

Is it a DCS cart? If so then it's normal for these carts to slow way down on hills. If it has the stock controller in it then be very carefull with low voltage and high amps they will toast the controller very easly.

Thanks for the suggestions. Have fixed problem. Having just bought the golf cart, I didn't know what was wrong. Started with checking batteries which were good, I replaced all the cables running between the batteries, they were coroded, and now the cart will run uphill almost as fast as on level ground.
