2006 EZGO doesn't keep full power

I have a 2006 EZGO 36 volt cart that works fine when you first start riding it but after a short (or long) ride when I come to a stop and try to go again the cart only has low power. If I switch forward reverse switch to neutral and push pedal to floor and put switch back to forward I will have full power, until I have to stop again, then switch switch again to go full power. Any help would be appreciated greatly.

sounds to me like the solonid is not making good contact internally. check all connections for anything loose. if not i would replace the solonid with a heavy duty (white-rodgers) one.
