I have a 1991 club car ds with the Kawasaki kf82 engine. It will run for a few minutes then loses spark and dies. I checked battery voltage with multimeter before while and after running.
Battery voltage before starting was over 12 volts
During running the voltage slowly dropped down to around 8 volts and lost spark and died, after it shut off battery voltage went back up to 11 something volts. I can do this again to get exact numbers if needed.
I’ve read about disconnecting the rev limiter but I can’t even find it on this thing. I’ve looked everywhere for that little black box and can’t find it. And can’t find on google where it’s located on the kf82, can only find the ones with the fe290.
also I know wiring for the limit switches in the box with the solenoid and the wiring for the limit switches behind the shifter is not correct. Cart turns over/runs constant whether pushing the pedal or not. Switching to maintenance mode or regular doesn’t change anything. I’m not so worried about it running non stop but just want to figure out why it’s losing spark
Any help is greatly appreciated
