  • EzGo brakes

I am interested in purchasing an EzGo 48 volt cart and have found a dealer with used carts. The area we are in is very hilly (Trilogy Corona, CA) and I'm concerned about the climbing and braking abilities - especially for my wife who generally likes to brake at the last minute. Someone told me the EZgo is known for braking problems since it uses a brake cable which is known to break and leave you with no brakes.

What do I need to know about this topic?

    Thanks,
    Richard

The EZGO RXV 2008 & UP uses mechanical and electric brake that is fail safe. The drive system automaticaly brakes on steep grades and the parking brake automaticaly locks when the cart stops. I have heard of some issues with the brake on the early models but i believe they were resolved. These carts have an AC drive system and accelerate very well even uphill. Ask local dealer if you can test drive the different carts they offer.
