Noob in need of direction

Hey there I am new to this forum and new to the cart world. I have a 1980 EZGO marathon. I am looking for information as to were to start on this thing as a project. I'm hoping to get some info on taking the body off if possible and possibly rebuilding the motor. Any info on what you have done or were i should start would be great.
