melix resistor problem

My old melix resistor coils keep getting very hot, the cart is also going slower than it is supposed to be. tips appreciated

I agree with this. Check out your solenoid and let us know

He has a melex, it has NO high speed solenoid. Chances are better that you have a broken #4 resistor coil, or poor contact at the resistor wires
