key switch hot

i have a early 80s 3 wheel cart and after you drive it for a while the ignition switch and key get hot. any ideas whats causing this?

I havent had your particular problem but, quite often I have found a problem like that is usually a loose or corroded connection. Take a close look. Good luck.
