i have a mid 80`s clumbia 3 wheel. it has a squealing sound when the engine runs. i thought it might be a dry clutch but the clutch cover looks sealed. any ideas?

It is hard to tell with out looking at it, but usually it is either a loose belt, or a bearing issue on these carts.

If you must go into the clutch, there are lock washers holding the clutch together, along with a very powerful spring (be warned). Sometimes this lock washer comes off and makes the clutch push against the crank case or transmission causing a noise, but this can be seen by simply looking at it. Other than that the primary clutch is maintenance free, the secondary clutch could need new shoes but this issue will not be causing any squeeling problems.
