1966d gas no spark new coil help

i just got a 1966 harley golf cart has no spark bought a new coil still no spark does the 66 have points? or whats wroung with it

Yep, points are #5 (called circuit breaker), condenser is #4. Remember that the plug fires when the points open, not close. Make sure you have 12v to the + side of the coil. Easy way to make the coil fire is to bypass the points (open) with screwdriver tapping it to ground, each time the screwdriver comes off the ground the coil should fire the plug. IF the condenser is bad or missing it will not fire either. #8 is a switch on the gas peddle, so the gas peddle must be depressed or bypassed. Best thing to do is make a jumper wire directly from the battery or ignition switch. to the + side of the coil.
