new to golfcart world (tried customizing pipe)

hey all, probly did a bad thing. i have a 88 ezgo and the pipe was shot on it. i cut the pipe off and tried to make my own. with the (new) pipe on it it only runs 1/3 of the speed it should, i take off the pipe completly and it runs fine but of coarse load as heck. any ideas on what could be wrong?

header pipe is just a regular pipe but the can is from a 4 stroke mx bike. it runs the same with or without the can on it. i may have a few to many keenks in the header pipe but i dont know!!!!????? sorry bout the spelling also

Hi the pipe does a lot on 2 cycle engines, they have to be tuned correct or the engine will not run right like how you are explaining. I think the pipe is available, did you check the dealer?
