  • EZGO Cart batter not charging during operation

I have a 1992 EZ-GO Marathon with a 4-cycle gas engine. I am experiencing an issue where the battery will not charge during operation. It will last me 9 holes and then the battery loses its charge. I have had the battery tested and it is good. I have replaced the starter/generator, solenoid, battery cables and voltage regulator. It must be an electrical issue. Does anyone on this forum have any suggestions as to where to start with further diagnosis? Thanks in advance.

The voltage regulator should short to ground when the battery voltage drops below 12.5 volts - producing voltage to the battery around 14.5 to15.5 volts from the generator. Check the continuity on the green wire to the generator or the voltage regulator is not working.
