My 2008 rxv makes a lot of noise. I have put in neutral and run engine it is reasonable quiet. When it runs down the road it whines and makes noises. I put on new belt that helped, but I would like to hear the motor not all the other stuff?

Which belt did you use?
With engine running and shifter in neutral the drive clutch closes and the driven clutch opens just the same as if it was in gear.
It could be something the to with the transaxle... Have you check the lube? Put the rear on jack stands and run the cart in gear and see if you can pinpoint wear the noise is coming from. BE VERY CAREFUL -
