ezgo gas not starting or turning over

Hi I have an old ezgo gas 4 stroke with a robin 2 cyl motor and until tonight it runs just fine. I was spraying the weeds and had just shifted from rev to fow and when i nstepped on the gas ---nothing --- all i can hear is the micro switch that connects when you start to move the gas petal make a clicking sound but the electric motor does not start turning? any ideas?

Hello. Start by cleaning and tightening down the battery terminals. Inspect those cables for breaks by tugging on the cables aswell.

If that doesn't fix it. Make sure your battery is fully charged. Move clutch by hand bout a 1/2 turn. This should also turn the starter to a new position. Try to start. If it starts you probably need to change out the brushes in your starter.
