83 cc 48 v any help!

6 all new batteries full charge runs about 10 min. looses power won't climb hills and no reverse. Even with full charge quickly slows to stop any suggestions?

1983 did not come in 48 volts, that is your problem.

I agree, maybe it was a typo and the cart is 36v or it was converted to 48v.

What batteries did you buy and how many fill holes does each battery have?
What voltage is your charger 36v or 48v?
