Need info about operating at slow speed

I want to buy a club car utility vehicle. XRT 800. What I have found from several sources is that if any type of golf cart vehicle is only driven at a slow speed, such as walking or slower, it will burn up something. Electronics? Brakes? This will be used on a terrain that makes it not possible to drive faster without risk, unless it's an emergency. Is this true and if so, can it be remedied? Dealers have not been helpful and neither has Club Car, although the most recent contact said they could resolve it by changing out the motor and controller. Meaning, I would be buying 2 motors and 2 controllers with the origins kept as useless storage. Does anyone have knowledge about this?
