I am trying to put a LEGEND 36 volt GE motor and rearend axel on my Club car.

The wiring is different on the motors, the Legend has a + lead attached to the Motor and the Club car has a - lead attached to the motor.

How do I wire the GE motor to the Club car system?

I'm not sure what a Legend 36v rear axle and motor is, can you post up a photo or a net reference to it.
The older 36v club cars all had 36v series motors and there is not too much to hooking them up.
The CC motor has 4 connections A1, A2 for the armature/brushes and S1, S2 for the field windings.

          Hey Dudleykpd,
New guy here too, I see you're from Cannonsburg, PA. the home of Bobby Venton. I'm originally from Charleroi PA. Had to leave town when the steel mills went down in the late 70s. Good luck with your motor swap.

dudleykpd, the motor wiring for your CC is here: http://www.golfcartsforum.com/golf-c...g-diagram.html
You will need a couple of more posts before you can access the diagram.
                What year is your CC?
Is that a 48v motor going on your 36v cart?
If so it will work but will be awfully slow.

New to all this but live in a community that allows golf carts on the streets.

I'm searching for a cart and have done a little local shopping. Talked to one dealer who sells refurb/rebuilts and prefers EZ-Go over Club Cars..What should I be looking for? 36v or 48v?
