Oil injector issue ('86 G1)

I have gone through about 2 gallons of gas and my oil tank is still full to the top. If the injector is not working, shouldn't I have seen a problem by now?

Hi rplante. When you step on the gas, does it put out any blue smoke? Sometimes it seems like it is not burning oil when it is. But if you are not sure, premix the gas at an 50:1 ratio. If it is not getting oil, you are going be going WOT one day and it will just seize up.

Thanks Matti. That 80:1 ratio: is that what the injector would do if it was working?

Oh dear. I was stuck on E-Z-GO. Disregard the last post (that I just fixed). The correct YAMAHA G1 ratio is 50:1. This is the mix the oil injector would do if it was working. Running 80:1 will not damage anything, but it may run like garbage for that time being .

Thanks again Matti. That's what I'll do. This cart was given to me to use around a campground and I didn't really want to put any money into it. So..........50:1 it is.
