G9 engine won't shut off

It will idle down , but will not shut down. Checked accelarator shut off switch with meter and it's working. have to pull battery cable to kill motor.

With the throttle released, the stop switch should go 'open'. When this circuit opens, it should remove the voltage from the Red / White wire going to the Ignitor Unit and the Ignition coil. (as well as the starter relay)

If they are still getting voltage, and the stop switch is good and adjusted properly, it sounds like something must be miswired.

I have the same problem as Larry. My G22A will not stop running. I have also checked out the pedal switch. Works fine. Help!

Is the motor idling or is he starter still running, sounds like the starter solenoid could be bad allowing the starter to continue running.
