Yamaha G22A motor dead

Hi guys, I am new here. We have a motorcycle salvage and repair shop near Toronto, Canada. I just picked up an 04 Yamaha gas cart and it looks like the motor is dead.I bought it for the wife to toot around with her gardening things.


I knew it was not running when I bought it but hoped it would not be a major problem. I found sand in the intake manifold and it has no compression or even piston movement when a probe is inserted. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to get a motor for a G22A cart or is rebuilding a better option?
