  • Early G2 Starting procedure

I have an early G2 which last ran a couple years ago. Just installed new battery, but no go. I do get a "buzz" in the engine compartment (not the solenoid)---a couple questions:

Is the normal start to simply turn key on & depress accelerator?

Should I try jumping the solenoid with the key on?

    Thanks,

    Gene

OK, apparently it is carb probs. I put it away with seafoam, but I can now get it to fire (with the seat in just the right position) with starter fluid. Continue to work...

Check your fuel lines Gene, you may have old, brittle, cracked fuel lines.

Have made a LITTLE progress: It will crank, it will pop with starting fluid, and it DOES have a major fuel line leak! Next step is to R & R fuel lines, and then look at the carb.
