I have a 1995 yamaha gas G14. I recently adjusted the govenor all the way so i could get more speed. Is this in any way harmfull to the golf cart? Thanks

It may go in excess of 22MPH but shouldn't do any harm to the engine. Make sure the alignment is correct, the brakes a working well, the tires are properly inflated and DON'T LET THE GRANDKIDS NEAR IT!!

I unhooked throtle cable from govenor, ran straight to carb. Runs alot better.

I agree with with snopro, brakes and alignmant are crucial. With clutch kit and hooking throtle cable straight to carb, runs 30 mph. Problem is I still want more, but I know better!

If you do what I did you'll need to unhook the cranksase breather hose from air cleaner and block the hole in air cleaner box and put a filter on breather hose. Prevents blowback.(oil in the air cleaner). Hope this helps.
