g8 yamaha maintenance

I just purchased a yamaha g8 which has been sitting. It still runs but is very slow and with no power at all. The origional owner said that the batteries are all origional and the same goes for everythign in te cart.

I am a newbie and dont know much about these carts. There is a ton of corrosion on the batteries, they need to be replaced. What else is needed to do to perform maintenance? Rear end oil change? Greasing? From what I've herd, the owner purchased the cart in 1992 and hasent done anything to it since they bought it.

Start with some new batteries and work your way from there. Congrats on the new cart, have fun with it!
