  • commutator bearing

I recently aquired a 2001 ezgo TXT electric and would like to service the motor...its emitting a dragging noise. Would anyone happen to have the part number for the commutator bearing from a 2001 36v series motor? I dont know the motor manufacturer but am assuming its the orignal cart motor, thanks in advance for any assistance

The commutator bearing could be a 6203 sealed bearing which fits most series motors from that era and can be purchased anywhere. That said, the actual electric motor manufacturers sometimes varied slightly mid year, so the safest bet would be to pull the motor and check the bearing itself for any stamped numbers just to confirm. If the bearing’s unmarked, you can reference the motor’s serial or model number with an EZGO dealer or by using the attached chart, they can source it, but it’ll typically be more expensive this way.
