2016 EZGO RXV - Cart jumps a little a shuts down once the key is turned.

I have a 2016 EZGO 48V. Has worked perfectly for several years. Randomly, on a day that it was used minimally and only by myself the cart stopped functioning. It didn't stop while running. The cart was turned off and never came back. When you turn the key, through R-N-F, the cart jumps and cuts off. You can tell the brake has released as the cart will roll freely. All batteries are maintaining proper charge. There are no apparent physical problems with wiring or pedals. I've seen suggestions that it a brake replacement is necessary. I've also seen random fixes that ended up being significantly cheaper.

I came here to see if anyone else had a similar experience. Love the cart and debating on sending to the shop...
