  • FNR switch question

Got the golf cart as a package deal and it ran for about a mile and then just stopped.
I am trying to troubleshoot, and have found an oddity that I need some advice on:
    1999 EZGO TXT standard 36V
    Manf Code: J599
    Serial #: 1214639

    Here are my symptoms:
    No key in ignition.
FNR selector in the F position (away from the driver).
    Reverse siren sounds.

It seems like the FNR switch is backwards.

Yes it is. Forward is always toward the driver. U need to swap out S1 and S2 on motor. Depending on motor. They maybe F1 and F2.

Or, the linkage could be wrong. Try switching the primary control arm from whatever position it is in now, to the 180 degree oppisite. That is, if the arm runs from the switch to the lever and is connected at the top of the lever, take it off, (usually just the handle is all that's necessary), and spin it 180 degrees. That should change the direction the lever is thrown.
