  • newbie with troubleshooting question

    Hi guys,
I just bought my first cart it's a 1992 freedom 36v. Overall cart is in good shape but was missing the batteries and has four flat tires but for 50 dollars and it having a new charger figured I cant go wrong.

When I went to load it I found that the cart will not roll, rear wheels wont turn at all. Jacked it up with a floor jack to move it and was able to spend the wheels freely.

Is this normal, I have no clue as I said it's my first one. If not are there any suggestions on where to start? Thanks for any ideas!

Either the motor are input shaft is locked up more than likely.

You can take the motor off the diff. 3-7/16" bolts from passenger side. Slide the motor off the shaft and see if it spins. If it does then more than likely the motor is locked up. If it doesn't then something in the rear end gears is broke.
