Cheap Motor Controller for 36V EZ-GO Motor

Hi all,

I am in need of a motor controller for a motorcycle conversion that I am working on. The project has progressed quite nicely over the last few months. All of the fabrication has been completed with a nice rack made to hold my 3 12V deep cycle Optima batteries. The motor that I am using is a 36V DC motor from a 1979 EZ-GO Marathon model #5BC48JB700. I have ordered a Magura twist grip 0-5k throttle and need an inexpensive controller to complete the project. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I will post photos as soon as I can!

Check with the cart builders in your area. Often times they pull the stock contoller to replace it with a better/heavy duty unit when building their carts. You can probably find a decent deal with one or more of them.
