I'm into my first build. It's a 1999 ez go series.I have converted from 36 to 48 volts (6-8volts),now for my question. What is the difference in programmable controller vs. non programmable??I'm going to use the standard motor or a litter larger 8 hp. Not going for speed record, just 18-20 mph.

Just joined the forum.I have worked on stock carts for sometime, but not a pro.by any-means.

Thanks for the info and all the help in advance.

    to GCF Sonny.
You can use the non-programmable one but they max out at 400 amps.
Do you have a source for that controller? I found Alltrax new in the box with factory warranty: 300a for $221 and 400a for $285.

Check out Alltrax document page it will explain the differances.

The non pro controller is factory set for what a stock cart can do basicly.

A pro gram controller you can modify it to suite your needs.
It can be used on differant carts also where the non is for just that one cart are one just like it.

Thanks for the fast response. I do have an outlet for the controller.
I think I will stay with the alltrex programmable.I'll let you know how it works out.
