    The cables that tie all 6 batteries to together. do i have to remove all these? ....lets call them jumper wires for right now. Should i disconnect each positive wire,or both,--- negative also, therefore making each battery an individual battery, Before i check for each batterys voltage '''''[singularly] bob s

    If you are checking the voltage or individually charging batteries in the pack you can leave them all connected.

      So it will give you the 6.7... volts reading even if they are all still tied together? I am glad I read this, since I was getting ready to disconnect to start troubleshooting. Great info in this forum. Thanks.

        Yes, put the meter on the pos and neg posts of each battery.
        A fully charged battery should be about 6.37v.
        The series system is just 6 individual batteries tied together totaling 36v, it's the same as a flashlight with 2 batteries placed end to end and getting 3v.
