  • Left golf cart in on position and plugged in charger

    Good morning!
I accidently left my golf cart ignition in the on position, and plugged in the charger overnight. Can this cause damage to the batteries or anything else? Thanks

Good morning! Accidentally leaving the ignition on while the charger is plugged in shouldn't cause significant damage to the batteries or other parts of the cart. Most modern golf cart chargers are designed with safety features to prevent overcharging or any adverse effects when the ignition is left on. It's still a good practice to avoid leaving the ignition on unnecessarily, as it can drain the batteries over time. If this happens frequently, it might slightly reduce the overall lifespan of the batteries due to the additional power drain.

For a one-time occurrence, though, it's unlikely to cause any major issues. Just ensure the charger is properly connected and functioning, and the batteries should be fine!
