  • '08 Precedent performance upgrade

I have a stock 48 volt, '08 Precedent which goes 14mph, drive in a hilly neighborhood and would like to go 20-25mph. What's the best way?
    1. 1 pay to have my controller reprogrammed
    2. 2 Buy a controller (Alltrax DCX400) so I can program it
    3. 3 buy a new (Plum Quick) motor

I read a lot of posts saying to do one of the above but haven't been able to come to a conclusion yet.

    Thanks!

Getting the cart programmed to a speed code of 4 will only achieve 19mph at a cost of $100 on average for the dealer to program it. I would go the Plum Quick route. In fact, give them a call and they will explain a few options for you. Since you have hilly terrain it also may be a good idea to upgrade your controller and battery cables to achieve better torque...

Im not sure any one thing is going to do it for you. number 1 is out

controller would be my first choice it will give you at least 20+ with torque for the hills,

if this is not fast enough then the motor.
