  • Precedent Question's

    Hi

When l move down to Ga. I will be buying a used Club Car and l will be
using it for driving around a 55 over community but it seems that more
area's are allowing golf carts to use public roads so what will l need to
add to make it street legal?

I plan on buying at least an 07 or later year depending on costs.

Last question the Club Car site says the 4 seater (new) only goes up to
14mph. I have no idea if that is fast enough for the streets and can l safely
Go faster changing the limiter or ??

    We are talking about Electric.

    Thanks

    Alan

PS Anybody know of a dealer in Hall county Ga. That is 2 exits above
The Mall of Ga. On route 85.

We just went through the same thing but in Arizona. We live on the golf course but to get my cart from the garage to the course I have to drive about a block on city streets.

We got the cart registered and street legal with a light kit, turn signals, horn, and 4 way flasher. My understanding is that we didn't need seat belts because it can only go 12 mph. The LEOs here will cite you if you're on the street without registration, insurance, etc. I believe that I can't travel on streets with speed limits of >35 mph. We take it to the restaurant for dinner sometimes but it's still within a sort of resort community with speed limit of 25 mph.

We ended up buying an 07 Precedent rebuild and were able to pick our color, accessories, etc.

    Good Luck
